RentMitra ("we", "our", "us") operates a WhatsApp-based property management service. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

• WhatsApp phone number and messages sent to our bot
• Name, property address, and rent details provided during onboarding
• Aadhaar card photos and selfies uploaded for tenant verification
• Payment screenshots and references submitted for rent confirmation

How We Use Your Information

• To operate the property management service between landlords and tenants
• To generate HRA-valid rent receipts and maintain payment records
• To send rent reminders and notices via WhatsApp
• To store documents securely on your behalf

Data Storage

Data is stored on secure cloud servers (Supabase PostgreSQL). Documents and photos are stored on Cloudinary with restricted access. Session data is stored in Redis with a 30-minute expiry.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. Information is shared only between the landlord and tenant involved in a specific property. We do not share data with third parties except as required by law.

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as you use RentMitra. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.
